Hi, I’m Erin. I work on Issuer Solutions at Neighborly. I’m looking forward to helping Neighborly reach new issuers and make the municipal bond market work better for them. One of my focus areas is higher education.

As a public finance banker I served the State of California and issuers on the west coast, helping them finance higher education, public power and infrastructure. I then moved to the University of California’s capital markets finance team, where I issued bonds to finance projects for the University’s ten campuses and five medical centers, and designed and implemented strategies to ensure long-term financial health in areas like pension funding for the system.

What inspires me about higher education is that it employs multiple types of bonds, and that these bonds help generate far-reaching impacts – research findings and ideas that spread globally, academic medical centers that offer specialized health care, and campuses that are engines for social mobility and hope – as well as the communities universities and colleges create and the personal effects on students.

Interested in place and finance, I went to graduate school for public administration and urban planning (at NYU) and then attained an MBA in finance (from the University of Chicago). Between graduate programs I developed affordable housing in New York City. In my early adventure years, I initiated community development projects in Latin America and pitched in on economic revitalization investments in Bosnia. I first learned about Neighborly in London from a German, and I enjoy strategizing solutions for social impact using capital and seeking inspiration from around the world.

I’m thrilled that Neighborly gives residents a way to invest for their own future financial well-being in assets they benefit from directly. I’m equally eager to help issuers strengthen civic engagement and bring their communities assets now that will serve generations of residents. Feel free to stop by or reach out by email!
